And then there were three (#25)

And here it is. The Final Chapter! Thank you to everyone for staying with us through the long delays. I'm hoping you've enjoyed this tale of ours.

Nulli, thank you for writing this story with me. It's been a crazy ride, but it's been a ton of fun. Keep the bobcat. He'll purr you to sleep every night.

*Nulli peeks in* Oh I'm keeping him. I don't think I have a choice at this point!

Thanks so much to all the readers. Thank you for your messages, comments, and love for this story. We've had a blast!

I now pronounce you... (#24)

Here it is! The penultimate chapter of this crazy, winding, bendy saga. I'll be sad to say goodbye to them all - Killian, Melody, Brian, the fictional Nulli, Doc Roberts, etc - but happy to see this one wrapped up in its own Happily Ever After. Writing with another person has been a unique experience for me. I write, read over, move stuff around, re-write, delete, move stuff around again. It's really a miracle I ever get a story finished where it makes sense, to be honest. Writing this on Google Docs, so we can both add to the story simultaneously was in equal parts very cool, very awkward, kinda awesome, and yet sometimes frustrating all at the same time. It was definitely outside my comfort zone, which meant it was an excellent experiment and exercise.

Back to Normal? (#23)

So, it's probably no secret that Killian is one of my favorite characters that I've ever created. He's brash, unapologetic, and thoroughly enjoys his mate (along with anyone else's if they permit it). He is also a good and loyal friend. What more can a person ask for, right? Sanity is highly overrated.

Protecting his Mate (#22)

Last chapter left everyone hanging as the gas cannister broke through the window. I picked my hubby's brain for a lot of the symptoms and reactions to the gas since, as part of his military training, he's been teargassed a few times. Needless to say, the general consensus is "not pleasant." He did give one advantage to it, though. It did great to clean out his sinuses! I don't think that's enough.

Kitty's Got Claws (#20)

In the words of Pain and Panic from Disney's Hercules... "We. Are. WORMS!" Yeah, we've left this hanging far too long. I blame the rabid were-platypii infesting the world with their strangeness. Or the holidays and other obligations. But I'm all about the were-platypii. Someone get on that.

Cooler Heads Prevail? (#19)

Now that NaNoWriMo is over, Maz and I will try to get back to regular updates. Thanks so much for hanging with us!

Patience is a Virtue (#18)

I confess, this was an extremely hard chapter for me to write. Why? I've never been in a hospital for anything other than the birth of my child (until the recent motorcycle accident with my hubby, but I wouldn't wish that hospital on anyone). I had no experience with it other than what I've seen from a military hospital point of view, which I'm told is a totally different animal from civilian ones. Nulli had to smack me upside my head several times and tell me 'it doesn't work like that in the real world.' lol So, here it is, the aftermath of the accident.
