Cooler Heads Prevail? (#19)

Now that NaNoWriMo is over, Maz and I will try to get back to regular updates. Thanks so much for hanging with us!

Patience is a Virtue (#18)

I confess, this was an extremely hard chapter for me to write. Why? I've never been in a hospital for anything other than the birth of my child (until the recent motorcycle accident with my hubby, but I wouldn't wish that hospital on anyone). I had no experience with it other than what I've seen from a military hospital point of view, which I'm told is a totally different animal from civilian ones. Nulli had to smack me upside my head several times and tell me 'it doesn't work like that in the real world.' lol So, here it is, the aftermath of the accident.

Disaster (#17)

Holy crap! It's almost been a month since our last post. I'll take a lot of that responsibility. I've been working on other stuff that has sucked up all my brain cells. We went to Dragon*Con then had to deal with the con laundry and a hint of con crud. Then there was my husband's motorcycle accident which threw everything into orbit.

We have not forgotten this story. We have been working on it. We've discussed possible plots and stuff to discard. It's just come so slowly, with either one of us or the other not being available. So, that's my sorry excuses. Here's the next installment!

Change is Inevitable (#16)

So. It's been a while. Kinda. I could blame it on Dragon*Con. I could blame it on Nulli giving me a brain-eating plot bunny. I could blame it on lots of things. The truth? I hadn't realized it had been so long. So, here you go, the moment we've all been waiting for! (No, not that moment. Or that one. Nope, not even that one! Sheesh, people) It's time to make Nulli into a bobcat. Enjoy!

Adjustments (#15)

We wrote this post without quite as many plans to fly to Mars and leave humanity to implode on itself. There were moments, but not as many. I'm sure there will be more later. You know where to send the money if you want off this rock with us ;) As for the story, well, there are times I feel sorry for poor Brian. His world was turned on its ear when he met Nulli. He loves it but it does present its challenges. Such as discovering just why his mate melts when he purrs.

Next Steps (#14)

There are times when the rest of the world doesn't matter, times when you focus on a specific moment. Mazuri and I decided we'd reached one of those moments when we both agreed to join the colonization of Mars project. What? The mission is already full? *sighs* Guess Brian and I will have to give you our version of special moments. Hope you enjoy this installment by Maz and me!

Human Threat (#13)

Last time, we left Nulli and Brian in a Sea of Awkward. Their unexpected and somewhat unwanted guests - Killian, Melody, and Terry - were discussing an organization dedicated to the intense and intrusive study of shifters (usually by way of dissection and other forms of fun). We pick up where that chapter left off with some excitement, some fun, and some serious talk. We hope you enjoy!

Unexpected Guests (#12)

Once more I'm joined by Nulli Para Ora in the twisty-turny tale of Brian Arcady, the bobcat shifter, and Nulli, the PNR author and bendy fitness guru. It's been an unusual experience for me in working on this story. This is my first notable experience collaborating with someone, and my first doing it live. It can be a tad unnerving knowing someone is watching what you type when you type it. Takes some getting used to, but I'm getting better! It also doesn't help that I've been fighting a god-awful summer cold and was doped up on a rotation of DayQuil/NyQuil while writing this. So, if something seems wonky, blame the drugs! Anyway, here you are. Hope you enjoy!

Research and Development (#11)

Maz is under the weather this week. How under the weather? She suggested naming this post, Fred's Wilty Penis. After this enlightened idea, she explained herself by saying, "No, I don't know who Fred is." Please take a moment to face south, hold up the cold remedy of your choice, and send healing vibes to Maz before Fred and his wilty penis show up unannounced.

We hope you enjoy this installment!

Shifter's Lament (#10)

I think Maz and my ears were burning the moment the previous post went live. Put down those pitchforks, you ruthless mob! If you murder us, we can't finish the story. :)

Ghosts of the Past (#9)

Nulli and I had too much fun writing this. There was laughter. There was a lisping shifter. There were almost tears at one point. But damn, it's fun :) We hope you enjoy this latest chapter of the many trials, tribulations, and adventures in the life of Brian and Nulli.

Collared Freedom (#8)

So, by the time Nulli and I are done with this story, we will both be giggly and insane. There were times when the typing had to stop due to laughing too hard to see the keys. We find humor in the strangest things. Also, if you're not stalking Nulli Para Ora, run over to her site and do so!

Hysterical Blindness (#7)

Welcome to another installment of On the Prowl. Maz and I laughed entirely too much during this joint writing session. We hope you enjoy what we've come up with. Side note: Maz is convinced I'm trying to kill Brian. *shrugs* What can I say? The kitty does it for me. ;)

Stray Hope (#6)

Welcome to another installment of On The Prowl. Maz and I had a lot of fun working on this post (well I did, so I'm imposing my happiness on her. Heh.). I made my contributions while on the road. Very interesting typing from a car and a hotel. We hope you enjoy it!

Revelations (#5)

Another fun-filled collaboration with Nulli Para Ora (check out her site, read her stuff, really, it's good!), concerning the poor bobcat shifter, Brian. You'll get to meet some old friends in this one from the Fucking with Animal Planet series as the story develops. Enjoy!

Misunderstandings (#4)

This post was a collaborative effort between Nulli and I and combines several different twitter discussions. Confession time - I haven't worked on a collaborative project like this since high school English. It was interesting and rather nerve-wracking all at once. I don't always get into the flow immediately, tending to type, delete, type again, wander off, come back, read, groan, delete, and start over when I can't get what I want to say onto the screen. Poor Nulli had to suffer through that a few times, but this is what came from it.

Purr-fect Prey (#3)

This is a guest post by Nulli Para Ora, inspired by a description of purring while touching, kissing, or doing other naughty things. Bobcat shifter, Brian Arcady, has his eye on the author and has recently discovered she has a thing for his purrs. She wrote this excerpt and sent it to his email after their discussion.

The Date (#2)

"Okay, I can do this. How hard can it be, right? She's just a woman." Brian paced his living room while tapping a large envelope against his thigh. His even cadence should have calmed him, but not this time. He was growing more agitated by the second. "She's a fucking woman!" He fell into a heap on his couch before running a hand through his short hair. "This would be so much easier if she was a guy."

Brian Arcady, Introducing the Stray (#1)

On the Prowl is a continuation of Fucking with Animal Planet, following the bobcat shifter, Brian Arcady. It occurs after the conclusion of that story, on this blog as well as on Twitter, and involves PNR Author, Nulli Para Ora. Follow the twitter handle @b_arcady to keep up with this cat's antics.
